  (Release 1.1, March 2005): New version of the benchmark library 1.1
 
To install the new release 1.1, please, unzip the file Matlab_COMPlib_r1_1.zip and read the user guide.
  The difference between version 1.0 and release 1.1 of COMPleib is that 44 new examples has been added to the test collection. The newly-added problems coming from output feedback control design problems for two dimensional PDE models.
  • Medium scale models (sparse):
    • 2D heat flow (HF2Dx) models accurately described in [1], Section 3:
      'HF2D1_M316','HF2D1_M541','HF2D2_M316','HF2D2_M541','HF2D5_M289', 'HF2D5_M529','HF2D6_M289','HF2D6_M529','HF2D9_M256','HF2D9_M484'.
    • 2D instable heat flow (HF2D_ISx) and convection-diffusion (HF2D_CDx) models as stated in [4], Section 4:
      'HF2D_IS1_M361','HF2D_IS1_M529','HF2D_IS2_M361','HF2D_IS2_M529','HF2D_IS3_M256', 'HF2D_IS3_M484','HF2D_IS4_M256','HF2D_IS4_M484',
      'HF2D_CD1_M256','HF2D_CD1_M484','HF2D_CD2_M256','HF2D_CD2_M484','HF2D_CD3_M324', 'HF2D_CD3_M576'.
    The number behind 'M' (for medium scale) denotes the dimension of the system matrix A.
  • Large scale 2D instable heat flow and convection-diffusion models (sparse) (see [4], Section 4):
    'HF2D_IS1','HF2D_IS2','HF2D_IS3','HF2D_IS4','HF2D_CD1','HF2D_CD2','HF2D_CD3'.
  • Corresponding (small scale) POD models (dense) (see [4], Section 4):
    'HF2D_IS5','HF2D_IS6','HF2D_IS7','HF2D_IS8','HF2D_CD4','HF2D_CD5','HF2D_CD6'.
  • Perturbed (instable) cable mass (CM_IS) models (similar to 'CM1' - 'CM6' with a perturbation matrix dA added on original A of 'CM1' - 'CM6' such that the perturbed system matrix A:=A+dA is not Hurwitz):
    'CM1_IS' ,'CM2_IS' ,'CM3_IS' ,'CM4_IS' ,'CM5_IS' ,'CM6_IS'.
All 44 new examples are unstable discretized models of the corresponding PDE control system.
Release 1.1 of COMPleib consists of 168 test examples and can be used identical to version 1.0!!
